Random Acts of Kindness

A few days ago, I went to the mailbox and found a surprise that I KNEW Porter would love. There was the cutest duck with a card that said, "Happy Easter, Porter!" I put it back in the mailbox and ran to get Porter since I knew he would love getting this kind of surprise from the mailman! He absolutely loved it! :) What a great treat! However, the generous giver did not leave their name on the card! We have no idea who left Porter this fun Easter surprise! So....will the secret Easter Bunny please come clean so we can thank you properly!? You deserve a big hug and kiss for making this little boy's day!!!!

WOW project

Last weekend, during Daddy Time, Billy decided to buy a car kit so he could build a race car with Porter. It was the PERFECT Saturday project, since last Saturday was our big snow day! :)

So, after a trip to Lowe's and Hobby Lobby, the boys proudly came home to show me their fun plan. Porter was SO excited and even though Daddy did most of the work, I am sure you can see the excitement on Porter's face in these pictures. :)

It was definitely a slow process (that required lots of patience), but so worth the wait and now Porter has a cool car to show off that he and Daddy built "together"! He kept saying "WOW" the entire time they were putting it together!!!" It was so cute to watch. :)

(Great idea, Daddy!)

only in Texas....

...do you swim one day and wake up to this the next:

Above is the froggie pool covered in snow and below is the sunscreen and bubbles from the day before! CRAZY!
Unlike most people around here, I LOVE the change. I never get tired of seeing the snow fall. I love the variety of being able to wear flip flops and snow boots in the same week! Ha!

Porter dashed outside in his pjs this morning and could barely contain himself. He was more excited this time because he knew he would get to throw SNOWBALLS!

I wonder what he's thinking....
I bet I can guess....
Ready to pound me~!

And so today instead of rinsing out swim trunks and wiping off sunscreen, this is what I have to keep me busy....drying out wet snow clothes!
I REALLY DO LOVE THESE DAYS!!!!

FREE FUN!

You see, it all started like this:

and THIS:
Can you figure out what they are pretending to be? Cowboys, of course! :)

Porter has been pretending a lot lately and recently he turned two of my trunks into horses for him and Daddy! His horse is "Sundance" and Daddy's is "Butch"! It is hysterical to watch! Every morning before work, Billy has to "pretend horses" with Porter before he leaves.

And, you can probably guess what came next. You got it. Porter wanted to ride the real thing! So we ventured out to a new spot, Frisco Horse Park, and it was a hit! And to top it off, it was FREE! So, needless to say Porter was thrilled to ride a real "Sundance." We enjoyed the beautiful weather and enjoyed everything the Frisco Horse Park had to offer. You should try it!
