My first Memorial Day

On Monday we celebrated Memorial Day with Mia, Poppy and Aunt Doodle and we had so much fun together!

Mia brought me all kinds of new toys (toxic free, of course, from Melissa and Doug) AND she and Poppy brought me a new swing too! We had the best time playing with my new toys and I got to show them my new swimming pool and how I have learned to splash the water when Mommy says "splash"!

We also played outside blowing bubbles, playing on my new alphabet mat on the patio and playing catch.

Mommy had decorated in honor of Poppy since he is a Vietnam veteran and he loves patriotism. I loved seeing all the flags and got to help Mommy put them in the yard.

I wish it could be Memorial Day every day! :)

Tastes of Summer

Mommy has been letting me try all kinds of new fruits and I LOVE THEM ALL! My very favorite is strawberries. Mommy has named me the "strawberry thief" because she found me on the floor with an open container of strawberries and I had a whole one in my mouth! These summer treats are so yummy!

One step at a time

Yesterday, Nanny came to babysit me....and she brought the best surprise! A push toy that I can walk behind. It is teaching me how to walk! I feel so big and strong. I will be walking in no time!

Daddy, I wanna be just like you

Strollers make us sleepy!

This is Reid, Tanner and me asleep after our mommies walked for an hour and a half! It was a warm summer day and we were so comfy in our strollers. And when our mommies realized we were sleeping, they just kept walkin' and talkin'!

A Whole New World

I am still in awe! This past weekend, in honor of my 9 month birthday, Mommy and Daddy took me to Crystal Beach. I have never seen anything so amazing. I felt so at home there!

I loved digging my fingers in the sand and running from the waves.

I loved looking for seashells and watching the sun rise over the water.

I loved going for walks on the beach and listening to the waves until I fell asleep.

I loved tasting the salty ocean water.

I loved sitting in my sun tent and playing with my sand pail.

I LOVED EVERY SINGLE THING ABOUT IT.

Thank you God, for giving us the beach to enjoy!!!!

Here ya go, Mommy

For Mother's Day, Daddy and I gave Mommy the extra special treatment. We let her sleep in, then we gave her a card from each of us, then we gave her flowers and a Pandora charm bracelet (which she LOVED), and then finally we took her out to eat for breakfast. She was so happy and I am pretty sure we made her day! Happy Mother's Day Mommy!!!!

3 week Round-Up!

Hey everybody! Mommy has been so busy and hasn't had time to post much during the past 3 weeks. So, we thought we would try to catch everyone up (briefly). Enjoy!

I went to Sunday School BY MYSELF for the first time and I didn't even cry! Aunt Doodle came over to see me afterwards and I told her all about it~!

I found a baseball at Grandad's and got to play with it! I have never held a real baseball before! It felt (and tasted) GOOD! :)

For my 8 month birthday, we went to the Heard Museum! It's a conservation exhibit and I got to see lots of really cool animals that live right here in Texas! I also got to have my first picnic there!

This is a picture from play group this month. We were at my friend Quinn's house. I had fun playing with his "big boy" toys!


Mommy and I met Mia at Cracker Barrel and I got to sit in the rocking chairs and eat my breakfast in a high chair! It was so much fun there!
p.s. Mia let me pick out a toy and I got a bubble machine while we were there. SO cool!


This is me and Daddy on our Saturday outing while Mommy was with her friends. He took me to the railroad museum in Plano. I loved it! Those trains were so cool!

This is me and my friend Taylor. We went to lunch at Cafe Express. She showed me how to draw and print letters.

This is me, Mommy and Daddy outside our house. We got "Yard of the Month"!

And I saved the best for last. I got to go to my FIRST REAL baseball game last weekend! We went to a Rough Riders game and I got to watch from the outfield right under the scoreboard! I wasn't even afraid when the fireworks went off! Go ROUGHRIDERS!!!

Gilmer Girls

This past weekend, my Auntie Alice and Kimmie came in town to see Mommy and me. Mommy went to high school and college with them. They were LOUD! They laughed the whole time! I had a blast because they brought me fun presents and loved on me! I got 3 new books and a cool teddy bear back pack on wheels! I can't wait to take it on our trip to the beach next week! I miss you AA and Kimmie!
