Baby Nixon
Last week, I got to meet my new friend, Nixon. He's almost 3 months old. His mommy and my mommy were pregnant together and our daddies are close friends too. I know we will be the best of friends because we will grow up playing together and going to baseball games with our daddies! Nixon, let's go to Sheridan's this summer after the Rough Riders game!

new friends
Mommy and I have been going to Stroller Fit and I LOVE IT. My favorite part of Stroller Fit is the music. Mommy sings songs to me and my favorite song is "Itsy Bitsy Spider". We have also made so many wonderful new friends there. Mommy and some of my friends' mommies decided to start their own Stroller Fit play group! We had our first play group a few weeks ago and had a great time!Clockwise:

Backing Up
Mommy said to tell you that the next few posts will be going backwards a few weeks. We have been so busy and Mommy hasn't had a chance to get all the pictures off her camera until now!
This post is from last weekend when I celebrated Easter first with Nanny and Pop Pop. I got to go to their house and open my very own Easter basket which was filled with all my favorite things. My favorite surprise in the basket was the bunny that sings "Jesus Loves me". I also loved shaking the eggs and sitting on the floor with the eggs all around me. AND....I got tons of new clothes and the *coolest* new hat. More pictures of that hat to come....

My first Easter
Although our weekend was full of sadness, we celebrated Easter on Sunday with all the usual excitement because we knew that's what Nonna would have wanted us to do. We missed her so much, but we knew she was looking down on us smiling while we hunted Easter eggs at the farm and ate bunny cake!
My first Easter was the best! I got an Easter basket from the Easter bunny FULL of fun surprises. He also brought me my first baseball and bat! Mommy and Daddy were surprised when I knew what to do with the bat when they handed it to me. Hitting that baseball was no problem! I am ready for the real thing!
And then, the biggest surprise of all....Mia and Poppy gave me a wagon. And, not just any wagon. The "Cadillac" of wagons (as Mommy says). I love it! I got to see so many things and one day I will be big enough to sit up in it by myself and there's even a place for my sippy cup and one other friend! Sweet! Thank you Mia and Poppy! It's just what a little guy needs!

Our lives will never be the same.....

This morning, my sweet Nonna passed away in her sleep. It surprised us all. I will miss her so much. I loved going to the farm and sitting in the window watching the birds with her. Mommy said we will always remember Nonna because she made such a huge impact on our family. Nonna, you have forever made a positive difference in our hearts and we will miss you dearly.
Love,
Porter

BIG bubbles are better!
Last weekend when Mia and Poppy were here, we stayed outside and played a LOT! My favorite thing we did was blowing BIG bubbles. Mia used the whole bottle of bubbles because I loved them so much! I loved watching them blow across the sky and then go "pop" on my face!

Show me the Bunny!
This weekend I got to go to our neighborhood Easter picnic. Everyone came to go with me. Pop Pop, Nanny, Mia, Poppy, Mommy and Daddy. We all walked together and I couldn't wait to see all the Easter eggs and to play with my friend, Reid. I thought we might see the Easter bunny, but Mommy said I had to wait until next weekend. She said he would be coming and he's bringing a surprise just for me! :)
Here is our caravan going to the picnic! Thank you for pushing me, Pop Pop! :)
Oh, I can't wait to see what Easter is about!
Nanny saying "Porter, there's your friend, Reid!"

Reid, I hope you like the Easter basket I brought you!
"Porter, come on, let's go find some eggs!"
"Reid, where are all the eggs? I guess the big kids got to them first!" :(
Oh well, on to the next best thing. A jump house! "Daddy, can I go PLEASE!?"
I might as well show you guys my crawling progress while we are here...Look what I can do now! :)
Look! A push up! My arms are STRONG! I'm going to find those eggs, or else!

My *very* favorite place
Last weekend I got to experience something amazing. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Dallas Aquarium after I got my six month shots for a pick me up. :) It was the coolest thing I have ever seen. I want to go back! I loved all the birds and fish and my favorite exhibit was the cute little penguin. Mommy and Daddy, please can we go back soon???
Here we are downtown. Before we went inside the aquarium, Daddy showed me the building where he used to live when he met Mommy!

Walking through the aquarium tunnel. So many different colored fish!

My favorite exhibit...the cute little penguins~!

Watching the manatees swim by. They were SO big!

Looking at the stingrays with Daddy

Look closely.....that's my pacifier!!!! I dropped it (accidentally) while looking at the stingrays. Sorry stingrays. :(
Can you believe we got to see real alligators? They were SO scary!
This is what I looked like after hearing the alligators "roar"!
One of the cool birds up close. :)
