Little Sweethearts

Yesterday, Mommy and I hosted our play group's Valentine's party at our house. It was a blast! I was so excited to see my buddies that I would squeal each time the doorbell rang! We had so much fun together and I am pretty sure our Mommies had just as much fun as we did!

Here's the crew: Hudson, Quinn, Tanner, Reid, Sutton, Porter, Chapman and Landon
Our crazy mommies putting together our craft (we were too busy playing!)
The boys loved my playroom!
This is a treat I (Mommy) made for all my buddies!
And, other treat made out of Rolos and Hershey kisses! Mmmm!
And, here is the table set ready for Reid to make his craft, a Valentine's "mailbox" for our cards and candy!
Having a blast with Tanner in my Thomas ball pit
Here is Smooch! He comes out every year on Valentine's Day and he was there to welcome our friends. Daddy gave him to Mommy on their first Valentine's Day together when they were dating!

And, here is our new "Playgroup Prayer Circle Pal". Mrs. Brittney invented the idea and it's a cool way for our Mommies to pray for each other!

Here is the bag our prayer pal will live in as he travels between our houses! :)

And, Mommy was super excited about this "treat" because it was for HER! Mrs. Cara made these cool frames for all the Mommies! Mommy says she is very artistic.
And, here is what I scored from my pals! Look at all this fun stuff!!
I am so lucky to have these dudes

This is how I distributed my Valentine's surprises to everyone. I put them "in" their mouths!

Every one's "mailboxes"!
As always, Mommy and I are so thankful for our friends. We look forward to many more fun holidays together!!!!!!!!!!

Saving Morgan

This morning, Mommy saw a dog  outside looking in our window and we knew she must be lost.  So, Daddy went outside to look at her tags and then brought her inside where it was warm.  She was so cold and afraid.  We called her owner and she started crying and said that Morgan had been missing for a week!  So, while we waited for Morgan's owner to come and pick her up, I got to play with her.  She even came into my playroom!  Maybe one day I can have my own "Morgan"!  Morgan, we are glad you found your way back home!

Picky Eater Problems!

I need help from my friendly bloggers out there!  I have a picky eater on my hands and I would LOVE some ideas for healthy snacks and meals.  Porter has a list of foods he loves but dislikes anything new I try to give him!  His current "requests":

*Annie's mac and cheese
*chicken nuggets (but he will only eat Applegate Farms brand!)
*strawberries
*bananas
*waffles
*toasted turkey and cheese
*organic pizza on wheat bread

Is he high maintenance or what? :)  I have tried MANY of the "Deceptively Delicious" recipes but they didn't fool him, unfortunately!  Ha!  I would love any healthy ideas you have or suggested foods I could offer that might be Porter approved!
Thanks a BUNCH!!!

Dinosaurs Alive!

Today was super cool! My playgroup got to go see DINOSAURS! It was the Heard Museum's "Dinosaurs Live!" Exhibit and boy was it eye-opening! The dinosaurs were life-size and made really loud noises. At first, I didn't know if I liked them, but I warmed up to those big guys and had a blast! I even got my own "little" dino to take home with me! Thank you for taking my picture, Mrs. Brittney! :)

LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT

Porter has a lot of new tricks now. He is a big 16 month old and we are constantly amazed at him and we are truly "lovin' every minute of it"!
Here are some of our favorite new "tricks":
  • He tries to sing the "B-I-B-L-E" song with me, but instead sings "B-I-B-I-B". We think it's pretty funny! :)
  • He is starting to be a good little communicator! He signs two-word phrases (the speech therapist in me beams!) and he is starting to be a little chatterbox too! Some of the words he says now are: peas (please), queen (clean), duck, mommy, datee(daddy), mia, bobby (poppy), na na (nanny), pa pa (pop pop), cookie (because he LOVES Cookie Monster), Mo Mo (Elmo), tee (when he hits the ball off the tee), tas (Thomas), macka macka (mac and cheese), tee (tree) and more that I can't think of.
  • He can say almost all the animal sounds (except horse) and they are hilarious! The "meow" is the funniest!
  • He identifies the following body parts: bee bo (belly button), hair, hand, mouth, nose, eyes, ears, toes
  • He can turn on the CD player and find his favorite song. This kid knows what he likes! :)
  • When we go for our walk every morning, we put on his Batman house shoes because they are super warm. When we tell him to go get his "bat shoes" he sings the Batman song "na na na na na na na na Batman!" His funny Daddy taught him that!
  • He LOVES to play the piano (Mommy's keyboard) for us.
  • And of course, he still LOVES our wagon walks every single morning!

Well, that's all for now. I really did this post for myself because I don't write in his baby book (shame on me) and I want to remember these precious moments!
