Strangely enough, Porter has decided he would rather be entertained by me instead of going outside these days. I have realized he doesn't love the cold weather and if he can't run freely to play (and instead, he has to wear layers upon layers of clothing) he would rather just stay in his pjs. Who could blame him?
Hopefully, this is our last round of snow and ice and Spring is around the corner!
Here's a peak at our snow day yesterday:
He's really been into Mickey Mouse lately so we turned a box into his "Mickey-mobile" and pulled him around the house. He loved it!
Out of desperation, I brought his sandbox inside. He was occupied for most of the morning so it was MORE than worth sprinkles of sand scattered all over the house! :0)
I tried to convince him throughout the day to go play outside but he kept saying, "No, it is FREEZING!"
We also worked a 100 piece Woody puzzle. This was super valuable, time-consuming and fun!
Porter also enjoyed his daily ritual of watching the Atlantis space shuttle launch on the computer and acting it out with his rocket. Never gets old!
We made Valentine's door hangers, thanks to Aunt Stacy! :)
And, BY FAR, the most interesting and captivating activity.....putting together a LEGO rocket made up of about 100 pieces. It took me over an hour to put it together but Porter played with it until he fell asleep last night. Worth.every.penny.
And since Porter decided NOT to nap, there was rest time with "Despicable Me" and popcorn!
And thankfully, the postman brought a Valentine's care package from Aunt Dee PACKED with fun goodies! HE LOVED IT!!!!!! Thank you DEE! :)
And after lots of convincing, Porter finally stepped outside the front door for .5 seconds. No likey. :(
We topped off the night with homemade Valentine's cupcakes. Luckily I had all the ingredients and Porter enjoyed helping. Fun day, but hoping to see lots of sunshine today!
