Last week, Porter enjoyed a slumber party with his great grandfather! We spent the night at Grandad's and enjoyed a simple, peaceful evening on the farm! It was absolutely perfect weather and Grandad was the best host!
We brought a cake to celebrate our night!
And Grandad had a warm welcome for us with freshly-picked wildflowers (my favorite)
Porter got to ride all over the farm with Grandad and Lavell
We looked for frogs and fed the catfish
A spring day on the farm would not be complete without a ride on the tire swing
We watched the martins fly in and out of their fancy two-story birdhouse
And we found freshly laid wood duck eggs :)
They were still warm!
then we came inside for a "rest"
After a snack we were back out at Uncle Dave's pond looking for snakes and whatever else we could find
And Porter's FAVORITE part....wading in the waterfall!
We couldn't get him back in the golf cart!
And Porter could not resist "pretending" Dylan's four-wheeler was his own. Maybe one day....

Wow! Looks like the Slumber Party was a hit for Porter! Granddad was so excited about the blog he told me about it. It was so good seeing the two of you. He is a cutie!!! Next time you will need to get some photos of Porter and Dizzy Dog. He loves all the little ones that play with him. Hope you come visit again soon.
